Make a batch of this Apple Pie Spice Recipe with just cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg, then add it to all your fall baking projects and maybe even your morning latte.

A jar of apple pie spice.

ย

Homemade apple pie spice is one of the simplest spice blends around. My version is just 3 common pantry spaces that you can mix up in a minute or less. Then, put it to work in desserts like apple pies, cakes, and cookies, oatmeal and overnight oats, and on top of hot drinks. It adds a warm, fruity taste to anything it touches.

Many versions of apple pie spice use cardamom which adds a floral, citrusy flavor. I love cardamom, and I think it works well in this homemade spice blend, but I left it out of the recipe because itโ€™s not common and you would use only the tiniest bit. However, if you already have it on hand, please feel free to add a pinch.
