Dijon Vinaigrette

This all-purpose Dijon Vinaigrette recipe is delicious on green salads, pasta salads, and sandwiches alike. It's a standard red wine vinaigrette with the dial turned up on the Dijon, so it's packed with punchy mustard flavor.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • In a small bowl or in a jar with a tight-fitting lid, add olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, oregano, and salt and pepper to taste (I like 1 teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper). Whisk or shake to combine.

Notes

  1. Dijon mustard: Not crazy about Dijon? Reduce your mustard to 1 tsp. and make standard Red Wine Vinaigrette. Or substitute brown mustard.
  2. Oregano: Or substitute dried marjoram, dried basil, Italian seasoning, or your favorite minced fresh herbs (such as basil, chives, or parsley).
  3. Yield: This Dijon dressing recipe makes just over 3/4 c., enough for 6 to 7 servings, 2 Tbsp. each.
  4. Storage: Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
