  • In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, add water and rice. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 12 minutes (do not peak). Remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes. Fluff with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula.

Notes

  1. Yield: This recipe makes about 4 cups of cooked rice. Many recipes say the yield will be 3 cups, but when I cooked it and measured the yield, it was 4 cups.
  2. Storage: Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
